While his charge was to speak to a group of youth in BedStuy, Brooklyn about the question "What makes a man?," Akhmose spoke confidently and spiritually about notions of manhood in the context of womanhood and femininity. Without emasculating men, or hypersexualizing women he spoke to the necessity of balance within each gender against the backdrop of a world in blurred gender lines.
