Namaste! My name is Matt Catley, although I also go by Mat Rix - my blog and podcast alias. Your support for my healing and teaching dream will help to generate much gratitude and love in local and abroad communities.

Over the past couple of years I have been involved heavily with the creation and growth of a beautiful community in my home city of Calgary. With the establishment of Evolver Calgary in July 2010, I have seen the flourishing of many groups and individuals working toward positive change in this incredible city through this supportive community. Now with over 650 members, Evolver Calgary continues to explore ideas, topics, and solutions often passed over by mainstream society in order to create the more beautiful world our hearts tell us is possible.

In addition to recently graduating with a BCOMM from the University of Calgary, I am currently involved with planning monthly Evolver Calgary events, monthly Calgary Convergences (a free space for individuals to share their ideas, projects, and passions with a dance party after), studying and teaching about alternative economic models (coordinating the Calgary Timebank, facilitating gift circles, etc.) through workshops and presentations, creating a personal website to blog and record podcasts to spread my ideas, facilitating belief re-patterning workshops, and much more.

For many years now, I have been on a quest to find answers to some of the most fundamental questions. Who are we? Why are we here? Why is there so much suffering and turmoil on this planet? What are the causes of our disharmony? From sacred healing journeys in Peru, to fire walking, Vipassana meditation retreats, and sweat lodges in B.C., I am always willing to expand my awareness and push the boundaries of understanding in my lifelong quest for truth.
