My name is G.J. Dowding and I am a writer, director, and performer living in Brooklyn, New York. I have attended both Wagner College and New York University where I studied everything from vocal performance, music theory, acting, journalism, and fiction/poetry writing. Most of my training has been rooted in acting and I think of it as the foundation and skeleton for my new artistic directions. I am currently exploring what physical theater can do and how I can express my own experiences andartistic point of view through the medium of performance art. I am interested in traversing through the many vignettes of art; being open minded and encompassing an amalgam of themes by infusing different art forms. Collaboration is important to me. By collaborating we are able to expand in new directions through the format of an artistic conversation. Collaboration creates the platform to learn from someone else and in exchange gift them with the exposure and knowledge of your own artistic medium.
