I hear rain, leaves moving, the world breathing and growing. I listen to women tell their stories and stand beside them as they give birth. These things have given me tremendous optimism that life works well, that it is resilient, that we can trust it. In 57 years, Dinah, the Jewish English girl, became a mother of 3 grown men, a home birth and birth center midwife, in Texas. I am ready for the next chapter of my midwifery life story.
