I was born in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia, raised from the Bay Area to Minnesota, and currently reside in Brooklyn, New York. A graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University Masters in Fine Arts Acting program, I'm also Founder of Shaggae’s Song P.A.C., a nonprofit organization that develops new works focused on international women’s issues. I teach Acting at Rutgers University, I' m a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, and I love spicy food and car-singing.
