Founded in 1980 by Deborah Lundmark and Michael deConinck Smith for dancers under 19, the Company has staged over 1,000 performances from Barrie to Beijing and been hailed by Toronto’s Globe and Mail as “a national treasure”. CCDT members experience the life of professional dancers, including extensive technique and repertoire training and work with celebrated international choreographers in the creation of original dances. CCDT performs locally and abroad to critical and popular acclaim.
