The show was so well received, we did a remount of it later that year. After a successful second run, it received two Merritt Award nominations: Outstanding New Play by a Nova Scotian Playwright (Michael McPhee) and Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role (Glen Matthews as Logan).

In 2011, we became a not-for-profit Society, registered with the Registry of Joint Stocks in our home province of Nova Scotia.
The Doppler Effect Productions Society’s Board are:
Kevin Kindred
Sande Jordan
Adam Reid
Steff Moore
Annie Valentina (also Artistic Producer)
Michael McPhee (also Creative Director)

Later that year, we traveled to the International Theatre Lab (Norway) to workshop CU2morrow, written collaboratively by Valentina and McPhee. We produced the first run of CU2morrow in October 2011. The play underwent a second stage of workshopping with dramaturg Bryden MacDonald in the spring of 2012, in preparation for entering the festival circuit in 2013/14.

Our 2011 Atlantic Fringe show, a small side project called Whiteout (written and directed by Michael McPhee), played repeatedly to a sold-out house and became a Fringe Festival Hit.

We are currently working on - among other exciting projects - our third full-scale offering, Touch: a new play-in-progress by Annie Valentina.
