Lillian Vallely Fundraiser

I'm a novelist who writes about Native Americans and faith. When my publisher, Abingdon Press, gifted me with a full-sized, handmade Lakota Star quilt (sewn by Lakota and benefitting the St. Joseph Indian School in S. Dakota) to use in promoting my novel, A SKY WITHOUT STARS, I knew I wanted to use it to help the students at another Indian school. The Lillian Vallely School was begun 25 years ago by a Shoshone Episcopal elder and the Right Rev. John Thornton (ret.) and his wife Jan.
