My Story, In Brief

I've had a fascination with fingerstyle guitar ever since I was a kid. I credit (or blame) this on my parents having a Chet Atkins album, Simon and Garfunkel and my first and only guitar teacher.

I wasn't an especially talented student but I was able to pick up some crucial concepts that help me to this day. The blues-based British invasion sounds and folk/blues revival of the 1960's, and the music heard in the Baptist church are prime influences.

There have been a lot of late nights and early mornings in my musical development but thanks to a big stubborn streak and plenty of coffee I seem to be making progress.

This CD is the next logical evolution in that progress.

Along the way I've played guitar and bass in some bands, and played solo guitar gigs at weddings, restaurants, coffeehouses and bars.

The combination of blues and blues based instrumental and vocal music on this CD is truly reflective of the music that's most special to me.
