<p><strong>Priscilla Marrero</strong> is pure energy. The Miami-born contemporary performer, choreographer, teaching artist and writer reflects that luminous, kinetic spirit that flows through her veins and erupts during her performances. Currently, she collaborates with multidisciplinary artists such as physical theater artist José Manuel Domínguez and performing artist Carlota Pradera. Pradera and Marrero presented their recent collaborations “Think Like A Guy 11” and “Aquarius Juice 12”, which was commissioned by Miami Light Project’s <em>Here and Now 2012</em>. Marrero is active in the development of Inkub8, the Wynwood based alternative| whitebox |hybrid |studio space and is a resident teacher with South Miami Senior High Dance Program. She graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Dance 09’, received training work studies from the Artistic Dance Center, the Florida Dance Festival and participated in Movement Research Summer Melt 11’ in New York City. She practices Anusara and Ashtanga Yoga with Joanne Barrett. She has worked in film, television, and for performance companies. ‘When one watches Marrero on stage, one gets the sense she embraces and even flirts with risk as she pushes herself to find new forms of physical expression’ (De la Flor, Interview 2011).</p>
