Frontman for the band Shea

There’s a sense of hope behind the lyrics and music of the indie-alternative-rock band, Shea. Despite this southern WV native band being in the early years of its promising career, their music continues to create an impact on all of their listeners. Shea creates a sound that is refreshingly set apart with vibes that could be comparable to popular artists such as Switchfoot, Kings of Leon, and Needtobreathe.

"Energetic", "Cool", "Very pro", "Original", are a few of the words people have used to describe their experience of Shea's live performance. The band has had the pleasure to share the stage with national acts such as Rush of Fools, Sidewalk Prophets, Addison Road, Todd Agnew, KJ-52, and many others. They've also played at many well known venues such as Ichthus Music Festival in Wilmore, KY.

Shea will be releasing their new record in the next few months. They previously released a self-produced demo in 2010 that made its way to local radio stations and to various online radio stations. Songs such as “No Release”, “I’d Rather Be”, and “This Is For You” are a few favorites from Shea’s musical selection.

Frontman Taylor Shea says, “There’s nothing more fulfilling than being able to connect with people through our music. We write about what’s real to us, whether that’s our faith, relationships, frustrations, failures, epiphanies,…we just want to be honest, authentic, and real with our music and our lives.”
