I am a former student of one of the co-founders of MWS from over 10 years ago. My experience on a 3-week expedition course not only shaped the past decade of my life but continues to do so. Not only was I a student of Gar Duke's but I was a scholarship recipient of the program. Without funding from generous benefactors I would not have been able to attend such a course. I went on to become a lead instructor on wilderness trips for at-risk youth and have since become a wildlife biologist.
