Planting perennials in public spaces to increase local food, community, and delight
I became interested in community farms a decade or so ago. But just a few years ago did i start get my hands dirty. Since then our program to create an Edible Neighborhood has made a big impact in our pilot neighborhood, Chosewood Park. Chosewood Park was hit hard by the housing bust. But the neighbors are great. Working hard to improve all aspects of the community. From cleanups, to restoring native plants in the park, to planting dozens of fruit trees and herbs along the sidewalks.
