After receiving a M.A. in International Relations with a focus in Central and East Africa, Dan turned his attention to the non-profit sector. With over 100 publications on Africa and African development for journals, Dan's research led him to formulate a platform for sustainable development in rural Africa. Together with local Africans and colleagues he formed ACA Initiative, a micro-holistic NGO built to address development in remote rural communities. He is currently the Program Director.
