I met Bike Mike over two years ago when I first arrived in Nairobi and the majority of people were telling me: you can't cycle in Nairobi! He fixed my (horrible, heavy, cheap) black mamba bicycle whenever it broke and showed me some good routes to cycle around the city. He also introduced me to the Kenyan cycling team which I subsequently filmed during the Tour of Rwanda in 2012. Bike Mike is an inspiring bike fundi (mechanic). He has trained many aspiring fundis and wishes to train many more.
