The Heart of Things is dedicated to anyone who has ever loved, lost, and had the courage to love again.

I am a singer/songwriter, and filmmaker, in the DC area. I was born in Thibadoux, La., and came from a family of musicians. I received many film awards, but singing, to me, is like breathing. Last year a health condition that threatened my voice and could have ended my dream forever. When I recovered, I found my singing voice, but also found my “voice” and purpose, and emerged with a new view of my life. I recognized that today is truly all we have, and the time to realize one's dreams is now.
