"Be generous of spirit and always use your talent to make a difference."

I'm a producer/director/writer with experience in film, television, theater and radio. In the recent past I have made four documentaries, three of which have aired nationally. Crafting "TRIAL BY FIRE: Lives Re-Forged" has been my passion for the past two years and represents my first adventure in truly independent filmmaking which is akin to walking a tightrope with no net while balancing a frisky kitten on your head and juggling.

In some strange way, I feel like this project chose me and not the other way around. Before I started this film, I had never met a person with a burn injury before but for some inexplicable reason, I felt great empathy and a unique kinship with burn survivors. I feel honored to have been entrusted with these powerful, personal stories.

In a distant life I was a working actress in Canada where I did everything from writing and performing in a national comedy CBC radio series, to commercials, voicing cartoons (a couple of X-Men episodes), parts in movies and TV, to hosting one of the worst game shows ever seen on Canadian Television ("Welcome to Million Dollar T.V. Bingo the only game show you can play in your very own living room!")

I feel enormous gratitude to all the people who have worked on TRIAL BY FIRE: Lives Re-Forged - and their numbers are legion - but I am most indebted to my Executive Producer Bill Harris (who also happens to be my Executive Husband) and our excellent son Jack, for their abiding love and support. They're always here to come home to.

I believe - wholeheartedly - in the kindness of strangers.
