Raised in Reykjavik, Iceland, Thoranna Sigurdardottir, wrote her philosophy thesis on Nietzsches's theories in GROUNDHOG DAY. She has worked in film since 1997 and produced her first feature, the Haruki Murakami adobtation, All God's Children Can Dance in 2006. In the last two years she worked for Darren Aronofsky on Noah. Aronofsky incourraged her to make her dreams of being a director a reality. Thoranna plans to direct her short film ZELOS as a part of the AFI DWW program this summer.
