Mary Tuomanen is a devised theater maker and a company member of Applied Mechanics. In 2012 she and her partner Aaron Cromie were recipients of a grant from the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage to create The Body Lautrec, a meditation on the life and art of Henri Toulouse-Lautrec set to premiere in September 2014. In 2011 Mary became the first woman since Charlotte Cushman to play Hamlet in Philadelphia. She is a Boston native but supports Philadelphia sports teams, as well.
