Artist

Known for his haunting figurative work and dark landscapes, Jody Fallon is a self taught contemporary artist, proficient in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel and pencil. A native of central Pennsylvania, Jody grew up exploring the dark fields, hills and mountains near his childhood home, ever yearning for a way to express the feelings of wonder, fascination and solitude that he had discovered.

Jody joined the United Sates Marine Corps and traveled extensively throughout the United States and the Pacific Rim including Hawaii, Japan and Okinawa. All the while drawing on his experiences, yet, still yearning for more.

Between 1996 and 2000, he was introduced to painting and sculpture by three artists who he had come to know and admire; Frank Frazetta, Paul Lehr and Ron Wing, affording him the vehicle of expression that he had sought most of his life. In 2000, Jody alternated his weekends from studying science fiction illustrations and sculpture in Lehr's rural Pennsylvania studio, traveling to East Stroudsburg to study the fantasy illustrations in Frazetta's museum and spending precious moments in his studio, to long nights learning the philosophy of art over wine from Ronald L. Wing at "The Mill", a 200 year old grist mill which is Wing's home and gallery. For years, Jody followed this regiment all the while painting and struggling through his work. Jody still continues his close friendship with Wing today, showing his work annually in Wing's own West Creek Gallery.

Jody's work has been exhibited extensively in galleries throughout Pennsylvania, including eight annual solo exhibitions at the Packwood House Museum in Lewisburg. He has exhibited in NYC at Rogue Space Gallery in Chelsea, Windows Gallery and Chelsea 32 Gallery. His paintings are in numerous private collections across the United States, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C. and Hawaii.

He lives and works in Central Pennsylvania with his wife, photographic artist, Cheryl Fallon, and their two sons ages 5 and 7.
