I'm an internationally known Puerto Rican Jewish feminist writer and activist.
I was born on a farm in western Puerto Rico, into a family of artists & scientists who cared passionately about social justice. I began writing poetry as a young child. I've struggled with health problems all my life, many of them linked to environmental causes. The stories we tell about our lives shape what we're able to imagine, and what we can imagine determines what we can do. My job is to change the stories we tell and help us imagine a world where all people live safe & satisfying lives.
