Jared’s creative journey began as he painted stories in the cancer ward as a kid. With a decade of experience in the film industry, Jared has touched just about every area of production. He’s manned the camera, designed the sets, and worked extensively in post-production visual effects. He’s helmed his own short films and assisted on major studio pictures (The Wild, Sin City). And no stranger to documentary filmmaking, he was Assistant Producer to Bill Jersey on his award-winning PBS series ‘The Rise and Fall of Jim Crow.’ Most recently, Jared has taken on San Francisco’s advertising world, prepping budgets and coordinating graphics for heavy-hitting brands such as Sprint, Adobe, and Ask.com.

It’s this fusion of filmmaker, cancer survivor, and sympathetic artist that make Jared a documentary director whose time has come. Keep an eye out for his next project ‘True to Life’ a community based film that culminates his experience into a feature length documentary by/about teens with cancer.
