I have been asked where my profile picture was taken. The picture was taken on a paved trail located between NASA-Ames and Google. I frequent the trail because it's a drastic disconnect from our urban way of living, and a pleasant respite so close to home.

Previously, I have worked for:

Microsoft - Contract, Datacenter Services. Managed datacenters and technical staffing for many internal properties, such as Hotmail, MSN, Office, Live, among many others.

Satellite Laboratory Services - Manager, Help Desk. Worked on laboratory equipment interfacing to AIX systems, handled escalations from medical professionals seeking assistance with remote-site hardware and virtual sessions runnig on the Citrix platform.

Other Companies - due to NDA's I can't disclose two other multinational companies I have worked for in a public venue. The nature of the work however, was a datacenter build and the other was involving logistics.

What I'm doing now:

Currently a transfer major at West Valley College. I work in the court reporting lab at my school as a part-time teaching assistant while attending classes for transfer to SJSU. I also volunteer my time for 2 disabled students, taking notes and offering verbal descriptions of what's on the projector in their respective classes. I also tutor in US History.

I'm seeking a nursing degree, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner with focus on Public Health. Although my background is technical in nature, my true passion is helping others. I can think of no better way to do this, than assist people during illness, especially considering our current state of healthcare in the US. As an RN or NP, my physical limitations shouldn't be problematic, as LVN's and CNA's do most of the physical work. I will still get plenty of walking in, but nurses shoes are pretty comfy.

Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me. If you'd like to know more, feel free to contact me.
