Posed Butterfly: Every part of your being in balanced transformation!

I have been studying yoga since 1999, on my own and completed both a 200 and a 500 hour teacher training. I do not believe we ever "know it all" so I passionately continue to learn and study and practice on my own as well as with some of the most wonderful, inspiration teachers I have ever met. Yoga, of course, meaning yoked- together we are all connected and I am so very thankful to my cosmic brothers and sisters for keeping me on this path!

In 2004 I decided I desperately wanted to learn more about organic food, nutrition and improve my cooking skills. After attending a Body Ecology Course, I enrolled in a Nutritional Chef Program at Florida Culinary. What a wonderful experience, even though the program is ran like "Hell's Kitchen", it was so beneficial in my learning, not only, what to eat, but how to prepare it to my liking and for my family and friends. Knowing that the earth sustains us in every way, air, water, food, has driven me to want to teach the importance of "what we put on the inside, reflects how we feel and look on the outside." I am also studying the benefits of Ayurvedic Medicine, Disciplines & Cooking as pertaining to the 3 Doshas (ways of being). So I also offer Nutritional Education as part of my services. Feel free to ask me about it, as I offer personal consulting as a seprate service.

For the past two years, I have been studying for my Personal Trainers Certification, as well, and am Certified through the N.A.S.M. (National Association of Sports Medicine). I believe that we are all created very differently and having an indepth knowlege of anatomy is imperative. All of the cases I have seen where a person developed a sports related/yoga related injury have been because the person either thought or were told that they should ultimately "look" like the teacher/coach/best player... That is completely unrealistic! I will never look like Yogi Bahajan, B.K.S. Iyengar, Shakta Kaur Khalsa, Shiva Rea or Rodney Yee, and in turn, you may never look like me. It's all dependent on your internal structure, not on the shape of the outside, but the bones within. Understanding how the body is designed, how it works and how we all differ in necessary, I believe, in order to teach well and to do so compassionately.

Yoga will help you:

Develope inner strength

Discipline the heart, body & mind

Become more flexible

Find Inner Peace & Happiness

Improve confidence

Find motivation

Improve your appearance

Feel better

Improve your health

Gain muscle and lose fat

Tone up

Improve mental alertness/awareness

Be Radiant
