The strange characters and landscapes of the Inland Empire fueled her imagination for stories that explore the intersection of harsh realit<span class="text_exposed_show">ies and fantastic possibilities.&nbsp;<br />Nikki is entering the final year of her MFA program at UCLA in Film Production and Directing. For her work at UCLA Nikki has been awarded the Mary Dorr Gordon Scholarship in Media, the Ethel O. Gardner Foundation Scholarship, and the Jack Nicholson Award for Outstanding Student Director.&nbsp;</span></p>
