I’m Rothko. Scorpio vintage 1971, married since 1999, living in Austin, Texas since 2004. I work primarily in encaustic (beeswax with damar resin added for stability) these days but I also have an undying love for acrylics. I do my encaustic work at my studio in East Austin and play with acrylics and mixed media in my home studio. My encaustics frequently incorporate collage elements as the medium naturally lends itself to this usage.
