<p align="center"><strong>NICK STEVENSON</strong></p> <p align="center"><strong>BIOGRAPHY</strong></p> <p>Nick Stevenson is a native Australian. After having lived between the United States and Sydney for many years he finally settled into NY in 2000 attending the Atlantic Theater Company&rsquo;s&nbsp; Conservative Acting program. Stevenson always knew he was destined to forge a career in The United States of America. From the age of six his favorite song was Born in the USA and when asked by his third grade teacher to paint a picture of his native flag, he painted an American flag. It&rsquo;s not like he doesn&rsquo;t consider himself a true blue Australian, he&rsquo;s just always envisioned himself in the US.</p> <p>He first trained at the Australian Theatre for Young People from1998-1999. Some of his abroad television credits include <em>The Alice</em> and <em>All Saints</em>, as well as theater productions of <em>Carp Are Smart Fish</em>, <em>The Death of Frank</em> and <em>Contact</em>.</p> <p>When Stevenson finally found himself moving to New York in 2000, with two hundred and seven dollars he always knew it was going to be a struggle. After one day he woke up with no money, he quickly found himself with six tickets to the Mets versus the Philly&rsquo;s. The Met&rsquo;s won 3-2 that day and Nick knew he was in the right town. He graduated from The Atlantic Theatre Company&rsquo;s Conservative Acting School in 2002.&nbsp; Since then, he has performed in many productions all around the country and upstate in his Summer stock days. Some of his favorites include <em>Balm in Gilead</em>, <em>Careless Love</em>, <em>He Died with a Falafel in His Hand</em>, <em>The Boys</em>, <em>Bed</em> and <em>Mercy Thieves</em> and How The Other Half Loves by Alan Ayckbourn to name a few.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Stevenson most recently completed the independent feature &lsquo;Isn&rsquo;t it Delicious&rsquo; starring Kathleen Chalfant, Keir Dullea and Alice Ripley. Set for release in the summer of 2012 and also finished shooting the new Sci Fi flick, Underground with Corin Nemec, playing one of the title leads, Dr Cooper which also set for release in 2012. He was also in <em>The Contenders</em> in 2009 and the film achieved critical acclaim on the festival circuit.</p> <p>At the end of 2009, he created and produced a very successful Short Film Festival in Brooklyn called Station Shorts.&nbsp; In 2007, for his love of&nbsp; Theater Stevenson traveled to Greece with the One Year Lease Troupe and performed in <em>Widows </em>and <em>Reader</em> by Ariel Dorfman. <em>Reader</em> was also performed at The New York Fringe Festival and received praising reviews.</p> <p>In 2006, Nick co-founded <strong><em>The Outhouse Theatre Company</em></strong> with long time pal Jeremy Waters, who also call&rsquo;s Australia his home. The company, based in New York, is dedicated to the cultivation and development of both emerging and established Australian theater artists. The company had a good start with the premiere of <em>The Boys</em> by Gordon Graham directed by the wonderfully talented Craig Baldwin and since then, has enjoyed a successful run of <em>Mercy Thieves</em> and <em>Ride</em> by Jane Bodie at the 59 East 59th Street Theatre.&nbsp; Stevenson and Waters are always sourcing material for the company&rsquo;s next projects.</p> <p>Nick&rsquo;s voice can be heard on many famous ad campaigns such as commercials for Gillette, Energizer Batteries, British Airways, The Sydney Morning Herald, Drunk Driving Ad Campaigns, Louis Vuitton, McDonald&rsquo;s and The Weinstein Company, among others.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Stevenson, currently resides in a river town in New York with his wife. He is continuously writing and directing his own projects. He is set to star alongside Frankie Muniz in an upcoming comedy shoot date end of summer.</p> <p>You can also find him performing at The Comic Strip NYC, Broadway Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club and various clubs around NYC. He says it flexes his brain and he enjoys the challenge. Nick has worked with many wonderful actors, Comedians and Directors. His favorites include Jerry Seinfeld, Peter O'Brien, Kathleen Chalfant, Alice Ripley, Keir Dullea, Christine jeffs and Christian Charles. At this very moment, Stevenson is adding to his bio. He is working on his screenplay, Greyhound and writing a boxing play for the Theater. He rides a Bonneville Triumph motorcycle for inspiration.</p>
