Farm the Farm -- To Your Table

Amie developed a keen interest in America's commercial food system after being diagnosed with an auto immune disorder in early 2009. Searching for wellness was just the beginning. Understanding more about the corruption of the industry, the devastation of our farms, and the destruction of our bodies sparked a passion for supporting the local food system and sustainable farming. In May of 2010, Amie founded the Veggie Bin, a direct farm-to-table delivery service in Jacksonville, FL. She has positioned herself as a partner to the farmer, allowing farmers to do what they do best, which is growing nutritionally dense food. Amie uses her skills in sales and marketing to grow the slow food movement in Jacksonville and has become a leader in the slow food community.

Prior Experience: Amie Keslar began her career in web development at NASA Ames then became a marketing manager for The University of Texas at Austin's continuing education department for engineers in the late 90s and early 2000s.
