It was one of six films greenlit and commissioned by Film Independent to explore themes of California and democracy. Erin directed and co-wrote this film as part of Film Independent’s Project:Involve fellowship program.

Li is currently developing a feature that is an adaptation of L.A. COFFIN SCHOOL, which screened at the Directors Guild of America during opening weekend of the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. The film, written and directed by Li as part of Visual Communication’s Armed with a Camera fellowship, is about a recently transplanted Chinese grandmother who enrolls in a school that claims to teach people how to start life anew. Other projects in the pipeline include a sci-fi feature set in the near future, a dramedy web series, a series of fashion lookbook films and several music videos.

She skydived in Queenstown, New Zealand to raise funds for UNICEF.
