Human-Robot Interaction Engineer

I began working on dialogue systems with deep NL understanding for Why2-Atlas physics tutoring system, enabling it to remediate implicit student misconceptions. In 2013, I co-released an open-source dialogue and interaction manager iwaki that powers Victor, a trash-talking robot that plays scrabble at CMU campus in Pittsburgh and Hala, a bi-lingual robot receptionist at CMU campus in Qatar. I am confident robots can be better communicators than me, and excited to make Jibo the first such robot.
