Former journalist Renee Lucas Wayne has worked as a playwright-in-residence for Pennsylvania Arts in Education and other theater outreach programs. A founding member of Black Magic Woman Productions, her other plays include "It's A Man Thing" (the second play in her romantic comedy trilogy; winner, Acrosstown Repertory Theatre New Play contest), "The Best of Everything" (winner, Henrico Theatre Company One-Act Playwriting Competition), and "Anointed: Verse II" (finalist, SlamBoston).
