I was a teacher of English, drama, & speech for 19 years in Fairfax, VA before taking an extended 8-year sabbatical to take on the role of Executive Director of Capital Camps, a residential summer camp and retreat center. When I returned to teaching I worked in the International Baccalaureate program which informed the way I think as much as the way I taught. My last 3 years were in the curriculum office as the advanced academic specialist. I retired from teaching to become a tour director!
