Sara & Holli

California, United States

Two female filmmakers traveling across the country documenting the lives of amazing women!

"Two best friends, or soul sisters, that met in the city of Los Angeles, packed up their things and moved over 300 miles to San Fransisco. The girls sought out to live their dreams and find something new. While there they constantly created, sought new experiences, and continued to explore themselves, pushing themselves to be more conscious and connected with the universe, themselves, and the people around them. During this time the girls had many conversations about the energy and power of women, and their connection. They explored the power of really owning their identities, and pushing themselves to develop even more. When they were afraid they pushed through it, working through the fear, and coming out more connected, intuitive, and fearless.

Sara and Holli, are now living their dreams, facing the unknown everyday, as they travel across America, interviewing women about their fears, fearlessness, and power. Raising over 10 thousand dollars on Kickstarter, they are truly grassroots in both their funding and message. The Goddess Project, seeks out women who do not already have a voice, with the goal of sharing stories and connecting women all over the world. They want to bring to focus women’s powerful experience and creativity, shedding a different light, otherwise not seen in popular culture.

The girls, traveling in a donated Veggie Oil bus, have made it from California to New York, met many MANY women, and are now enroute North, with plans to head to Canada. They have recently teamed up wit Eve Enslers new production company, and are spreading the word on her new project One Billion Rising, a campaign to end violence against women.

Sara and Holli, 25 and 22, have done what we all need to do. Define our passions, our fears, and push our boundaries in order to achieve great things. As girls we are taught to be afraid and anxious, and focus on what we do wrong, rather than right. Like Sara and Holli, we need to define who we are, what we are good at, and do it fearlessly. This will change the consciousness of women, our own lived experiences, and the future of girls." - Annie Neimand | Girl Land
