Launching his own production enterprise 'Vibrant Youth' in 2016 Ben has been aiming to push himself as a creative writer/director with the occasional production of a short film, all leading up to the lifetime goal of directing a feature film. His past short films include Nutcracker and The Balance which included appearances The Edinburgh Short Film Festival and Loch Ness Film Festival among others. Ben currently works full time at Screen Academy Scotland as the Film Technician, there he meets
