Samoa was born in a sleepy fishing town in Hiroshima, Japan. He moved to New York City in 1980 and became a vital member of the Lower East Side art movement. He is a co-founder and guitarist of the Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, a far pushed envelope in the rock and roll world. Samoa is a natural born outsider artist.
