<h5>Mini Biography</h5> <p>Born and raised in Los Angeles California and growing up in the inner-city community of Watts, Joel graduated from David Starr Jordan High School in 1992. He is an alumni the Film program at Los Angeles City College a program that inspires Guerrilla Filmmaking. Joel has worked on many studio and independent films where he made it point to learn and absorb all he could from anyone willing to share their skills and knowledge. He has worked in sales and marketing for companies such as E!, Summit Entertainment, and NBC Universal. In 2006 he founded Think Dreamer Productions with it's company tag line: "Think it. Dream it. Produce it." In the independent arena he has produced and directed various short films including 'The Becoming,' a short film which gained much popularity on the festival circuit and was featured in the top five films at Urban Suburban short film festival in Philadelphia. Other short films include "A Good Day to Die" and "Bar Belles." His first feature production was "Followed Home" which one of his filmmaking partners Joaquin F. Palma convinced him to produced as a way to distract himself from a broken-heart. That film went on to be acquired by Vanguard Cinema the following year. And his second produced feature "According to Plan" was completed less than a year later. In late 2011 Joel produced his 3rd Think Dreamer Production called "Scripture" a dark tail of a band of brothers that fight demonic forces with the power of Light and Scripture. Also in development he has "The Collectors", "Committed" and "Take Out The Wing Man". In addition he also serves as the President of Nosotros, the oldest Latino Art Advocacy Non-profit founded impart by the great Ricardo Montalban in 1970. And in the spirit of indie filmmaking, Joel always sharing his resources and networking with other filmmakers; a great example of this is that he is the founder and host of the Power of the Network mixer and screening that takes place in various Los Angeles locations throughout the year. "I strongly believes that filmmaking is a collaborative effort built on the synergy of all involved, striving to meet their individual goals by meeting the overall goal - a great Film!" Joel M. Gonzales resides in a small community just 20 minutes outside of Hollywood with his two children.</p>
