I was born with disabilities caused by thalidomide - a morning sickness drug given to women in many countries around the world in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Despite being marketed as 'totally without harm', it caused a variety of birth defects. I was one of the lucky ones who survived. I now chair an international federation of organisations of people affected by congenital limb difference - dysmelia as it is known. We hope Indiegogo will help us with our work.
