John DeVries is a filmmaker based in Cape Town that is passionate about using the visual medium to tell stories that entertain, inspire, effect change in, and bring a message of hope to, the world around him. As a director/cinematographer, he believes in the transformative and culture shaping power of film. It’s his vision for South Africa to find a new voice in film apart from it’s tragic past as a nation and look forward to a brighter future.
