A former contributor to The Portland Phoenix, Tanya Whiton holds two New England Press Association awards and was recipient of the 2000 & 2009 Martin Dibner Fellowships for Fiction and Poetry. Her work has been published in numerous literary journals, and her short story “Giving Her Away” was included in the 2006 anthology The Way Life Should Be: A Collection of Stories by Contemporary Maine Writers. Ms. Whiton is currently the Associate Director of the Solstice MFA in Creative Writing Program.
