I grew up in Redmond, WA before attending the University of Washington to study Economics and Social Work. During my time there, I was struck by the presence of affluence and poverty living side by side and resolved to spend time with the homeless directly on the streets. These conversations and relationships taught me the inherent beauty and worth of every human life. Seattle is my home, my family, and my future, and I hope that we can leave it a better place than we first found it.
