I took to the lessons quickly, and it was soon clear that I had a knack for music. At the age of 13, after about six years of piano lessons, I attended a Phil Keaggy concert and shortly thereafter decided I wanted to play the guitar. I soon enrolled in guitar lessons from an excellent guitar teacher, and my journey as a musician began. Before I knew it, I was turned on to the world of electric guitar playing, and began learning the licks of guitar heroes like Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. After taking two years of lessons on the electric guitar, I developed a love for heavy metal. I grew my hair out and would spend close to 3 hours a day practicing in my basement. I was happy in my long hair days... I didn't have much female attention because of it, but you know, that turned out to be a good thing. Less distraction. More guitar.

I soon cut my hair, picked up an acoustic guitar, and began teaching myself how to sing. I began jotting down lyrics, and my inner songwriter grew fast. Day after day I would escape suburban life by writing music playing my guitar in the B.O.L.H. (Basement of Lost Hours), pretending that I was on stage, playing for thousands of people. While most people were outside playing, I was in my parent's basement doodling on my Taylor and singing. Fast forward to five months ago...

Things started happening in my life, and I decided to change my tune. My brother Colin is a recon marine (basically he's Rambo) and last year we found out he got called up to serve in Afghanistan. It was at that point I decided to get serious about my career. After many years and countless hours in my basement, playing only for friends and family, I allowed a friend to video tape me playing an original song, "Jonah", which he then posted on the internet. Little did I know that the video would go viral a week later, launch me into the internet spotlight, and create the insanity that is now my life. So this is where we are at now...

PLEASE HELP ME REALIZE MY DREAM OF BECOMING A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN AND GET ME OUT OF MY PARENTS BASEMENT AND INTO THE STUDIO!
