Who, Me?!

Hmmmm, about me...that's always a tough one.

I guess I'm just a gal who really likes people, bicycles, and Omaha. In that order. Because people make the world go round; I believe bicycles are globally important; and Omaha's where I live and ride.

Lately I've started referring to myself as a cycling activist instead of listing off all of the organizations I am loosely affiliated with. I'm currently car-free and loving it. You can usually find me riding to a meeting about something bike related, from sitting in City Hall at a Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee meeting and throwing in my two cents about the importance of bicycle infrastructure in our fine city; to planning a route for a fundraising bicycle event; to pushing Bicycle Friendly Destinations to get on the Omaha Bikes BFD list and incentivise utilitarian cycling; to simply having a beer with a buddy.

I love riding (obviously), reading, talking, organizing people to work and play nicely together, pushing for change, and celebrating the successes in our great city. I'm super happy when I can help others find happiness from the seat of their bicycle.

Who are you? I always want to know.
