Joanna Cook

Hello! I am a senior cinema and art student at Ithaca College. &nbsp;I believe filmmaking should be fun and energetic and I hope to reflect the unique ideas I have about the world in my work. &nbsp;I love traditional animation, the French New Wave, and shooting on film. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<div><br></div><div>I have made several short films of my own, and worked on many of the films of my fellow students. &nbsp;I recently made a stop motion paper animation about a mysterious frozen pond, and a short film about a young girl who investigates the mystery of death through her fascination with entomology. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>I love a hand-made aesthetic and enjoy creating sets and costumes. &nbsp;I&nbsp;occasionally&nbsp;process my own film, and watching the frames come to life in the developer always reminds me why I love making films. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>I am extremely excited to make my senior thesis film, Jax and Jane, because it embodies everything I have learned in college about filmmaking and my own unique style.</div>
