Dr. Shawn Buckley has been in solar technology for over 40 years. As an MIT professor, he developed the MIT panel that used sandwich panel as its structure. He later licensed it to Chevron becoming a founder of their solar energy subsidiary, Hydro Sun. His PhD from Berkeley developed race car aerodynamics for Lotus. He has 26 patents and has written Sunup to SunDown, McGraw-Hill's best selling solar book. He has won China's National Friendship Award, the highest award given to a foreigner.
