<h2>WHY THE WISHAPHANTS AND WHO IS STEVEN BILLING?</h2> <p><strong>The WISHAPHANTS were created for children K-3 to promote healthy living and nutrition. They also address bullying, grief, loss, family diversity etc. These topics need to be addressed at a young age; many children are lacking the tools and support that would address these areas. We have created cartoon elephant like characters to grab the child&rsquo;s attention and help them understand, at their level. </strong></p> <p><strong>My name is Steven Billing and I've had songs on the radio and I am a co-creator of the musical called "Tusk" on Broadway. This project is dear to my heart and I feel a strong need to help raise awareness about bullying and help to educate children early on these issues. I am dyslexic, and it was assumed I was not the most intelligent child. My school experience was difficult, at best. I currently suffer from panic attacks. Panic is one of the most debilitating things I have had to deal with in my life and it all stems back to my childhood, my dyslexia, and the bullying that occurred. I have recently become aware, through starting this project, that children with food allergies and the handicapped are also being bullied, teased and excluded because of the allergy or handicap. Together we will bring more awareness to these types of conditions and others such the 3 T's: "Thoughts", "Traumas" and "Toxins &ldquo;followed by the Chiropractic professionals.</strong></p> <p><strong>Each of our participants has their own story to tell.</strong></p> <p><strong>My wonderful best friend, Norman Rea, co-creator of the WISHAPHANTS was also bullied emotionally and physically while attending military school. He feels a strong personal connection to raising awareness. He gives so much back to the community has won NUMEROUS awards including but not limited to: Albany Medical Center Volunteer of the Year, Times Union-Dozen Who Make a Difference; Empire State Youth Orchestra Music Scholarship programs.</strong></p> <p><strong>THE WISHAPHANTS are geared to teach and influence children in a positive fashion at the perfect age.
