<div>Nyle Cavazos Garcia, born in Caldwell, Idaho, attended Boise State University under scholarship where he founded Small Town Pictures. Nyle's first short film for Small Town Pictures, WEDDING NIGHT, won the top prize at the 1997 Nell Shipman Awards in Boise, Idaho. Nyle then relocated to New York, where he continued to write and direct short films such as HUMIDITY, 2000 (official selection: Brooklyn International Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Long Island Film Festival), and THE SUPPORT GROUP, 2002 (official selection: Sundance Film Festival). Nyle worked in production on independent films for Lion's Gate, Good Machine and The Shooting Gallery. In 2002-2003, Nyle produced, edited and shot the feature film, COWBOY, through Small Town Pictures. Nyle then partnered up with actor/producer Paolo Cascardo, and together they created Nightfire Films, and in 2004 relocated to Hollywood and produced Nyle's feature film directorial debut, CLEAN. CLEAN went on to win a bounty of awards at various film festivals, including the top prizes at VisionFest New York Film Festival, DIY Hollywood Film Festival, Rhode Island International Film Festival, Park City Film Music Festival, Sacramento International Film Festival and Beverly Hills Film Festival. Upon his return to New York, Nyle directed two short horror films, THE DARK, 2008, and BLEEDING, 2009, both of which premiered at VisionFest New York Film Festival respectively. Nyle's latest dramatic 35mm short film, A LONG ROAD, inspired by a true story, is now making its way through the film festival curcuit. Nyle's latest project is the DSLR online miniseries, MARY'S JOURNAL, which is a reboot of Nyle's 1996 student film of the same name (http://vimeo.com/4513745). MARY'S JOURNAL - EPISODE 1: CONNECTED had its worldwide premiere in New York City at Tribeca Cinemas as part of the FiveXFive NY State of Mind Digital Project for VisionFest10 (www.visionfest.com) and screened again in NYC at the Anthology Film Archives as part of the NewFilmmakers Series. Nyle is next slated to produce two digital shorts, REENACTMENT and THE MAN WITH THE RED RIGHT HAND, both for his new production company Monkey See Monkey Do Films.
