Josef Castañeda-Liles holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has written on the topics of immigration, race relations, and mixed race identity. His work has been published by Oxford University Press, Penn State Press, Lynne Rienner Publishers, and ABC-CLIO, among other presses. He currently serves as the Senior Associate Director of Prospect Research at Santa Clara University, where he provides research support for the development team.
