good theatre, good times

Delinquent Theatre seeks to unite good theatre and good times. We use music, text, light and sound to tell stories that matter to us. Delinquent Theatre’s debut production of Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead enjoyed a sold-out run of the Havana in the summer of 2009. The following summer, Delinquent’s production of Franz Wedekind’s Spring Awakening received critical praise. Recently, Delinquent produced Christine Quintana’s original one-act Our Time with support from Theatre at UBC. Earlier this summer, Delinquent Theatre received critical acclaim for their 10 minute musical PARKED: an indie rock musical for novelty instruments as part of Bridge Mix 2011. Delinquent Theatre presented Josephine Mitchell’s Oh My God as part of the 2011 Vancouver International Fringe Festival. Delinquent Theatre took part in the Here Be Monsters Festival’s Theatre Under the Gun, creating an original 12 minute piece titled Remember, Remember. After presenting Anton Lipovetsky’s FLOP! at Studio 1398, the Delinquents presented a new work, STATIONARY: a recession-era musical at the Neanderthal Festival in July of 2012.

Delinquent Theatre is Laura McLean, Christine Quintana, and whoever else comes out to play.
