My name is Mihalis Eleftheriou. I am a linguist, activist and musician, but most of all, I am a teacher.

I am a generalist and a pluralist. I have a mixed background and have made some very different cities home, from Buenos Aires to Cairo. I fight to remain uninstitutionalised, and have been for some years now.

Since my earliest scholastic memories I remember always reforming the material that was given to me so that it might make sense in a different way. Without realising it, from the age of around seven, I started rewriting my text books. Finally, around 15 years later, after achieving what I had believed was impossible with my language pedagogy, I decided to share it with the world for free, through Language Transfer.

I believe that the human journey is about discovery, adventure, excitement and learning - without these elements we become under-stimulated, depressed and antisocial. We suffer and become ill, our societies become ill, we forget what to value and plough on discontented. We begin to think this depression or lack of energy is natural or part of our human nature, instead of considering whether the way we are thinking and living is in fact against our nature. Meanwhile, we have the technology, resources and knowledge for a completely different kind of existence on this planet; sustainable, healthy, joyful, intellectual… the current systemic paradigm continues to crush in on itself and we are in a pivotal moment in history, will we realise collectively what we need to in time? I believe there is no better way to deconstruct learnt value and belief systems than the perspective that a new language can give you. Languages open a door which suddenly makes the world what it is before your eyes -pluralist. And from there you can question everything. This is why I created Language Transfer.
