Christine's Music Together

“I fell in love with Music Together when I brought my daughter, Charlotte to a class. Week after week I watched her develop in ways I never could have imagined! As a mom, I was so appreciative to have found a program that stimulated her development and allowed me to learn how she likes to play! After experiencing her utter joy in the class, I was hooked. I decided to begin my journey to become a registered Music Together teacher.”

Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical! All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning.

“In my classes I like to emphasize that all children learn and play differently, that’s what makes them special! Children may participate as they choose and are given the freedom to respond according to their developmental level. Some children will simply study the experience as they absorb the environment. Others will sing and dance freely. My favorite part of the program are that parents discover what a powerful role model they are to their children, just by having fun with music themselves.”

Christine’s Music Together classes take place in a non-competitive, non-performance-based environment for 10 weeks, where caregivers, regardless of music ability, nurture the child through 45 minutes of music play, informal singing, chanting, moving, listening and instrument playing. Children and adults are encouraged to participate, regardless of musical skill, talent, or training. Moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents and best buddies are all invited to attend with their child! Classes are mixed ages from birth through kindergarten. Activities focus on adult/child interaction rather than child/child, so children of different ages can enjoy classes together and ultimately learn from one another.
